We all want to feel safe and secure when we are at any airport and Stansted Airport is no exception, this is why Stansted Airport is always looking at ways to improve the service it provides along with customer satisfaction. The airport is currently trialling a new state of the art security body scanner for three months that can detect any concealed items on a person’s body.
This new system will provide a less intrusive method of security screening which currently is a pat down service to anyone who is mandatory selected to be checked. If you refuse to be scanned you will not be able to continue your travel arrangements. Quite tough but if it means safer flights then it has to be.
The security body scanner system shows you up as a window-style mannequin image to the security officers in charge of the scanner system, with no images kept. It easily detects hidden items on a person’s body making it easier for security officers to pinpoint where they need to check.
Having this new system in place can allow passengers to feel that every feasible step has been taken to ensure their travel is safe and they will arrive at their destination with no problems.
Don’t worry that you are getting too much radiation from the body scanner as the technology used is radio frequency millimeter wave technology not that used for x-rays machines so much safer for regular use.
Safety and excellent customer service are all that most passengers want, and this can now be achieved even more with the trial of this new machine to keep us all safe.
