Stansted Airport and Miss England
Who would have thought it, but Stansted Airport has gone all glam after one of its staff members Kirsty Heslewood, was recently crowned as Miss England and will soon go on to represent England and the Miss World competition in Indonesia later on in the year.
Kirsty lives nearby in Great Hallingbury which is just a short distance from the Airport. The competition held in Torquay took place in June 2013 and after 4 days of competition went on to win the title.
Kirsty who has now handed in her noticed worked as an import broker for FedEx based near the terminal at Stansted Airport, she had been there for 5 years and will no doubt be missed amongst her colleagues.
There were 60 contestants competing for 8 awards including the title itself, Kirsty entered the competition to try and increase her confidence having suffered with selective mutism and she hopes that by publicising selective mutism she will be helping others to deal with the condition.
Stansted Airport workers are no doubt very proud of KirstyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s achievements and will be watching the Miss World competition later in the year to see how she gets on, watch this spaceÃ¢â‚¬Â¦..
